How to correctly conjugate the Spanish verb Ir in all correct forms and tenses

Ir

The verb Ir means to go in Spanish. The following are the conjugations and their proper tenses to use when speaking and writing in Spanish. Spanish is an easy language to master if you work hard and practice everyday.

Present

Present Tense-is the most common of tenses and the one invariably learned first in Spanish classes.

yo-voy
tú- vas
el/ella/usted-va
nosotros-vamos
ellos/ellas/ustedes-van

Preterit

The Preterit-has a conjugation that is essential to learn. It is the verb form used most often to tell of events that have already happened.

yo-fui
tú-fuiste
el/ella/usted-fue
nosotros-fuimos
ellos/ellas/ustedes-fueron

Imperfect

Imperfect- the imperfect indicative has a conjugation that is essential to learn. It is the verb form used most often to describe conditions as they existed in the past, to provide background to events and to describe habitual actions.

yo-iba
tú- ibas
el/ella/usted-iba
nosotros- ibamos
ellos/ellas/ustedes-iban

Conditional

Conditional-also known in Spanish as el futuro hipotético, the future hypothetical, is different than the others in that it isn't clearly connected with a particular time period. As its names imply, this tense is used to refer to events that are conditional or hypothetical in nature. This tense should not be confused with the subjunctive mood, a verb form that also can refer to actions that aren't necessarily "real."

Future

Future Tense-is most often used to refer to events that haven't happened yet, but it can also be used for emphatic commands and also to indicate uncertainty about current happenings.
