If The start of your party goes well, only good things can follow. We are going to have food set out for those people we will love again, come Monday and since I am so generous, presents will be had.

Welcome

There are many options to use for a appetizer. You want your enemies, oops I mean guest to feel loved from the first moment they open your door. So have appetizers placed around your living room, this will ensure your guest you will have plenty to dig into, throughout the game.

The appetizers will go from a bowl of nuts to a delicious cheese spread. Guacamoulie will be made and placed by tortilla chips & Salsa. There will be chips and dip.

Your guest will also be handed a present when they arrive. It comes from the bottom of our heart and I just know they will be thanking me for it, all throughout the game.

Oh and by the way, my son Marcus and I have made our bet, it seems my son has decided to take the New York Giants, so I get (stuck) with the New England Patriots. Yes, Mama has a extra special surprise to place in his package.

Because: I Love Him

I will make sure Marcus's package is tied up with a bow. I have also written him a letter so I could express just how much I care about him. In the letter I will let him know that I have always been there for him and Super Bowl Sunday is no exception.

I have supplied him with 2 EFF-IT-BALLs, one for when his team messes up and one for my team for when my team scores. I do not want him to stress out, stress is not good for you. I also pointed out that I was so thoughtful to add some Alabama kleenex so he is able to dry his eyes when my team kicks his team's butt. I am such a good Mama.

EFF-IT-BALL

We all have our little oops "I said what' moments, as we are watching the Super Bowl, so why not give us a out. Especially if the kids are around. It was my daughter's idea, I must give krystal the credit for the name.

If you happen to get made at what your team just did, then you can slam the bowl down and say EFF-IT! If the kids ask what you are doing, just tell them you are mad at the opposing team for messing it up the great 'effort' your team just accomplished.

You will need: 9X12 felt sheets. Color of your choice. Embroidery floss, color of your choice. Tape that sticks, scissors, sewing needle and a pair of chop sticks.

Just Cut

It will take two sheets of felt for each EFF-IT-BALL you plan on making. I also picked up 1 extra piece of felt for every two balls I am making. This way, if you make a mistake, you have extra. They only cost 22 cents a piece, so why not.

I have drawn and cut out a football template, it does not have to be exact and you can also make these balls for any sporting event you are having.

I have found if you cut more than two piece of felt at a time, it has a tendency to come out uneven, so have patience and do two at a time.

Yes 1, 2, 3

To make the laces on the football. Take your embroidery floss and make a straight line, tie it off on each sides.

Then make three laces that lay across that line. Tie off each ends in the back.

I have called the craft store and asked them what these little bundles of embroidery floss is called and they too had no clue, so let me just put it this way, they are 8.7 yards long and they cost 29 cents a piece.

I can make the laces for 5 balls for each 'thingy' of embroidery floss.

Sew It UP!

I only put laces on one side of the ball, the other piece I leave plain.

I sew all around the ball until I have about 2 inches left, I then stop but, I do not cut the embroidery floss, as I need to sew it all the way up when I am done.

I can make two EFF-IT-BALLS with one 29 cent thingy of embroidery floss.

Each embroidery 'thingy' floss is 8.75 yards long.

Stuff It!

For my stuffing I have used a old table cloth, I no longer use.

I was thinking of stuffing them with the usual filler you can buy but, why not recycle what you already have.

The chop sticks are to aid you with being able to get in all those nooks and crannies.

Gotta Love'em

Yes, I am a bit busy at the moment so I enlisted the troops. All I have to do is saute some onions and allow the aroma fill the air. There is no need in telling them that the smell is not for them, well not yet anyways.

They tend to work harder with the thought they might be eating at any time. Also, these two men are not stupid, they know man rules...

Man Rule: Keeping the old lady happy, makes the whole household happy.

On Your Mark, Get set...

Your guest are arriving and as they do, you want to have option out for them to munch on, these snacks will be the easy open the bag kind of things.

I will have already of laid out the chips and dip. If I need any help I will ask for it, I have learned you must delegate, you do not have to be the marytr here, we are all in this thing together.

I will make sure I have games for the kids to play. I will also take out the playing cards and poker chips, so my guest can either watch the pre-game show or have a option of playing some Texas hold'em.

The key here is, this is suppose to be fun and not everyone that is coming, is huge football fans heck, some might not even know which teams are playing but, we must also make sure they too have a lot of fun. I mean, they could be my future dish washer come a hour or so from now.

The key to be a good host is, making all your guest feel special and also, thinking ahead (remember the dishes) is the key to having a successful Super Bowl Party.

Spread it ALL Out!

By Kick off, your guest have enjoyed the chips and salsa but, now it is time to put out more of your delicious snack foods.

A very easy thing to do is make a cheese platter. I try to get at least 3 different kinds of hard cheese. I will also add pimento cheese spread and crackers, so to complete the tray.

When using toothpicks or skewers, make sure you put small containers around your home for them to be able to discard these sticks. We do not want no one to be stabbed by one at our party, that could ruin the whole atmosphere you are trying to create.

Your new BFF

Lettuce will play a very important part when it comes to your Super Bowl party..

I use lettuce to top a sandwich, cheeseburger or maybe a bowl of chili.

I also love to make a lovely salad to serve next to a plate of barbecue chicken.

You can use this lettuce for making lettuce wrapped sandwiches. Use your imagination and I am sure you will come up with some great appetizers, to add to your Super Bowl party.

I also use leaf lettuce for covering a lot of the food trays I place out and also...

If you line your serving trays with these very inexpensive leaves, then when they have gobbled up have of the plate, the plate still looks neat.

Pass or Not

Now yo have the start of a wonderful Super Bowl Party. The gifts are given and your appetizers are laid out, now all you have to do is start to enjoy the party. Well, until halftime that is, when the main course will be served.

When the New York Giants take on the New England Patriots Sunday, February 5, 2012, at 6:30 eastern time. We will find out if the Patriots can take advantage of there short pass or will the Giants defense stop them and make it a running game. Only time will tell.

Judy, I am so sorry you have the flu. I have had it three times since spring last year. Just awful. I must learn not to kiss the grandbaby when he is sick, I will never learn. I was raised around sports, my mama was us kids coach in 3 different sports. Super Bowl was always big in our home. Well you get to feeling better. As always, thank you for stopping by.:)

Thank you Delicia for taking the time to read my work. I swear I was on a marathon there for a few. I should have started earlier but, at least I did get them done by 5:30 Sunday morning. Then I tweeted the mess out of it. As always, thank you for stopping by.:)
