As parents, do you have strong unwavering faith in your son that he's equipped with enough skills to protect himself from harm like going out to the sea with classmates, going out with friends in the woods, being run after by a fierce dog? If not, then don't ever permit him to get away from you. Look what happened?

Students on educational tour

Some 184 students taking up first year tourism courses at the Bulacan State University, Malolos City, on an educational tour in pursuance of needed requirements, travelled on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 to their destination point.
Composed of ages ranging from 15 to 17, the four classes or sets of students, accompanied by 3 teachers and 10 tour guides were brought to the tour area at the caves along the Madlum river in Barangay Sibul, San Miguel, Bulacan. Who is to blame?

Two female students who were lucky to have survived the tragedy, Mary Danielle Cunanan and Althea Hernandez, were treated at the nearest hospital.
Parents of unfortunate students are comtemplating of filing appropriate charges versus the concerned school, who showed as its defense a waiver signed by the students and their parents, exonerating the school from any liability.
Others in the know hold that the waiver could be voided if proven after investigation that the tour organizer committed lapses in their duties and responsibilities.
The caves, as well as the Madlum River, are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a popular eco-tourism site.
