The computer industry has a vast array of certifications that are available. The more certifications that you obtain, the more you can prove your knowledge in the field. For years, the Comptia A+ Certification has been the cornerstone of any computer technician’s or network administrator’s portfolio of certifications. If you are looking to enter the job market in the computer field, the A+ certification is a must. Worldwide, the A+ certification if the standard by which virtually all employers rely. In fact, few employers will consider a candidate for employment if they do not possess an A+ certification.
In years past, it was virtually necessary to enroll in a class in order to gain enough knowledge to pass the A+ exam. Today, however, there is a plethora of books and literature that is available and even an extensive collection of free material that is publicly available on the Internet. Study guides, videos, and practice questions are all available for anybody wishing to become A+ certified.
The exam is divided into two sections. One covers computer hardware, while the other tests your knowledge of software. Currently, the two tests are 220-801 for the hardware and the 220-802 for the software. The current price for each exam is $194.00 in US dollars. If you desire to work in the IT field, there is no better way to get started than to become A+ certified.
