The Horoscope of Pope Francis - Why he Breaks the Mold

This pope is cut from a different cloth, and what might his horoscope say about that?

Pope Francis

Pope Francis, in comparison to his predecessors, has been a real surprise. We may have had hints about his different ways of doing things had we observed his behavior when he was a Cardinal in Buenos Aires. There, he regularly rode the bus to work, mingled with the common people, and, for someone in so elevated a position in the church hierarchy, never took himself seriously.

As pope, he has picked up where he left off, refusing to live in the ornate papal palace, preferring much more modest accommodations. He has brought the church to task for its negative obsession with homosexuality and birth control, and now he has issued an 'apostolic exhortation,' denouncing "the new idolatry of money."

"The worship of the golden calf has returned in a new and ruthless guise in the idolatry of money and the dictatorship of an imprisoned economy lacking a truly human purpose. The worldwide crisis affecting finance and the economy lays bare their imbalances and, above all, their lack of real concern for human beings."

Regarding income equality, his writing is searing: "How can it be that it is not a news item when an elderly person dies of exposure, but it is news when the stock market loses two points? This is a case of exclusion. Can we continue to stand by when food is thrown away while people are starving. This is a case of inequality."

So let's take a quick look at his horoscope to see what makes this pontiff 'different'.

His horoscope

The conjunction of the Moon and Venus in Aquarius, in square (90 degrees) aspect to a tenth house Uranus, is the astrological signature for the pope's following a vastly different path in comparison to his predecessors. Uranus is the most elevated planet in his birth chart, conjunct the mid-heaven in the house of public image and profession. This pope, with Uranus here, is going to walk to the beat of a different drummer. He will be little concerned with convention and he will never be afraid to rock the boat. Look for him to continue to shake up the church establishment during his entire tenure as the leader of a billion Catholics worldwide.

Hi Steve I'm not into the horoscope stuff but you got the pope right.
Looking back at his predecessors he is cut from a different cloth, talking about topics that seemed sort of taboo, if you get my drift.

He's down to earth and wants to be intune with the people, well me thinks he will go far and be one of the most impressionable popes of the Catholic faith.

Interesting take on it! As a former RC, he's still not going fast enough for me -- but he's working on it and the sheep are slow to change.

Thought provoking, Steve. Every religion has to adapt and stay relevant to the times while adhering to its basics. People who are deeply religious should abhor greed - siva

Good evening, Steve. I'll reserve commenting on changes and focus instead on your horoscope reading. As a Virgo-Boar (Eastern), I know that many of the qualities given to these two signs are apt descriptors of me. I think it interesting that the Pope's horoscope supported his actions as well. Well done, Steve; informative and enlightening about your skills and about the Pope. ~Marilyn

My great grandmother use to say: 'There is more in the stars than what we know'. The longer I live the more her statement proves true. Thanks for this most illuminating post.

Well, what interest could our man Francis have, if he's the CEO of Vatican Corporation? The richest company in the world?

Gosh! Why don't people wake up, WAKE UP! It's a business, BUSINESS. Look it up!!!

Steve, I really love your articles, they are always straight on, but the comments! I must get used to NOT read the comments. It seems that people BELIEVE that we need a communicator to God.

NO WE DON'T, we can all talk to God personally if we wish!

No one can pay for spiritual advancement, we have to advance ourselves, evolve and that means leaving religion behind.

This pope is not different, just another clown with an expensive carnival outfit to do his utmost to save his company and get more and more sheeple to pay for his extravagances.

How can ANYONE believe in people that condone child abuse? I have yet to read that a priest is going to jail for this. That alone would be enough to shut the catholic church down, but no, all those hangers on WANT to be deceived, every day!

Despair .....
