The Tree Of Life and Its Relevance (We are all at a certain level of reality)

When I think about the different forms of "The Tree Of Life", here is what I most think of: I do not think of an actual tree, I think of the different levels of reality we are all at in existence. That, to me is the tree of life. Here is that somewhat complicated story from my point of view.

Growth Happens, and so does shrinking back

I told my Mother the other day, that "Good goes on to genuine immortality even if it fails to take hold on Earth at times like Socrates with his revolutionary ideas near his end or Jesus Christ on the cross being laughed at, Giordano Bruno being burnt at the stake and other martyrs and evil just ends up another wall exhibit in hell honored on Earth soon after it is gone as 'something amazing' like Adolph Hitler in World War Two with the Nazi Party or Hugh Hefner exploiting women, but still, a pathetic wall exhibit in hell" After saying that, I gave my Mom a kiss on the forehead, and she smiled a slight smile of "I get what you're saying" and I went on with the rest of the day. That was this last Friday.

Thursday night, before that Friday, October the thirteenth, it was incredibly cold in the house, and I even caught a three-hour cold early that morning around two o'clock, and it lasted until five, I did not do too much that day except rest and think until about one in the afternoon, then I went to volunteer at the church I volunteer at that afternoon, after getting the of this article in my mind and starting to work it out in life.

Strangely, growth is like this: We do what we are scared to do with courage until it is a repeatable habit that is normal without fear, and then we grow again when needed.

Normally, shrinking back is like this: We get in a rut and need to grow, but since fear is active in the mix, we do nothing but stay the same.

It sounds like the tree of life does it not? Growth is a strange seeming phenomena. While we expect to shrink back or procrastinate. Genuine growth is always desirable. Shrinking back that looks like growth, but ending up the ultimate procrastination, like being the wall exhibits in hell I was writing about earlier is never really desirable, but boy, it sure "seems fun" while it is happening.

Sure, I could mince words in this testimony, but so could movie producer Harvey Weinstein in the mirror about his "stuff". Shrinking back sometimes seems desirable and fun as growth sometimes seems scary and fearsome. But, everything in life to grow cannot even attempt to stand still.

I think of when I walked past the wall of the Playboy mansion in the far off from my neighborhood "Mount Olympus" hills of Los Angeles in 1996, all I could see of the mansion was a roof, but that was all that I needed to see like Lazurus in the Bible outside the "rich man without a name's" gate. I then realized that "evil winners here would be just another wall exhibit in hell" while real and genuine heaven is for those who can genuinely grow and not fake it. Look, to some this may sound like a sort of judgement, but, think about it: That is what stagnant, bloated empires are made for to ultimately be shrinking back wall exhibits in the hell of genuine extinction.

Indeed, I quote the book by Roy Herbert Jarrett "It Works" on this one:

It is possible to want and obtain that which will make you miserable;
that which will wreck the happiness of others; that which will cause
sickness and death; that which will rob you of eternal life.

You can have what you want, but you must take all that goes with it: so in
planning your wants, plan that which you are sure will give to you and
your fellow man the greatest good here on earth; thus paving the way
to that future hope beyond the pale of human understanding.

This method of securing what you want applies to everything you are
capable of desiring and the scope being so great, it is suggested that
your first list consist of only those things with which you are quite
familiar, such as an amount of money or accomplishment, or the
possession of material things. Such desires as these are more easily
and quickly obtained than the discontinuance of fixed habits, the
welfare of others and the healing of mental or bodily ills.
Accomplish the lesser things first. Then take the next step, and when
that is accomplished, you will seek the higher and really important
objectives in life, but long before you reach this stage of your progress,
many worth while desires will find their place on your list. One will be
to help others as you have been helped.

Great is the reward to those who help and give without thought of
self, as it is impossible to be unselfish without gain."

Sure, I could be more clear, but, I do want you to think and think deeply about the realities of growth and shrinking back. I want this to be not just a wall exhibit of "Do right" in your mind, I want this to be a reality that is a guide to your consciousness saying something like "I should genuinely grow or else suffer the consequences of game playing with myself."

Go ahead, ask why:

The "why" is always stronger than the "how" anyway. At least that is how I genuinely understand reality anyhow. Without the right "why", even the strongest "how" is nothing but empty action like the goose stepping and perfect Third Reich, bent on destruction or those North Koreans bent on blowing "something" up to start a 'great war'. We all need a good why to make a how mean anything valid in reality. "Why" is the tree of life in my opinion, and "How" is simply the tree of knowledge in my opinion. The tree of life and tree of knowledge are metaphors for those things in my reality, though and a successful life is simply a good combination of the "why" and the "how" that works.
