These easy but, also wonderful peanut butter cookie recipe, will be passed down throughout your family tree, as it has with mine.

flourless peanut butter cookies.

My family and friends have loved these cookies over the years.
I have no idea where the recipe originated from but, it has been a family recipe from the time I can remember.

I put them in a cookie Christmas box, that I send out to my loved ones each year.

I hope you and your family also enjoy them.

Ingredients

You can double, triple or quadruple this recipe, it wont change a thing.

1 cup of peanut butter

1 cup of sugar

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla ( real) extract

Directions

Put all these ingredients in a mixing bowl.

Mix with a hand mixer until combined.

I use a one inch scooper.

I get a generous scoop and place it on my sheet.

Roll each scoop of cookie mixture into a ball and put back on the cookie sheet.

Press and Bake

Take a fork and press the peanut butter balls down one way.

Then press them with the fork the opposite way, to make a criss cross.

Bake 350 for 8 to 10 minutes.

Cool on rack.

Chocolate drizzle

They're good just as they are but, I also like to take half the batch and make peanut butter chocolate cookies.

You will need a container of store bought milk chocolate frosting

Put a few heaping tablespoons in a microwave proof (small) bowl.

Melt at 5 second intervals, stirring after each time. Until it has melted and it has the consistency of chocolate syrup.

It usually only takes about 10 seconds for mine to melt.

Finishing up

Take a fork and drizzle the icing on your cookies.

Allow the cookies to stay put until the icing has set.

Then either enjoy them yourself or share with a friend.

You're welcome Ann.
I was just talking to my daughter on the phone ( she lives in Utah, I live in Alabama) about sending her some of them out for her and her fiance.
Aa easy as they are, she still says I make them the best...I think this is said with a wink and a nod though.
Thank you for your post, I know you will enjoy them.

I hear ya. My mama said she got the recipe from my great Aunt, whom would never say where she got it.
Women back then never gave away their secrets and if they did, they left out a few ingredients or steps, here and
there. LOL
It was the first recipe I taught my daughter.
It was the first recipe I taught my brownies, yes I was a brownie troop leader. :)
Now I am able to share that recipe with my new grandson.
Whom ever came up with it, is a absolute genius.

Thanks, Denise, for this recipe! I will make it. I will also try to use almonds which grow here to make these cookies! Unfortunately I can't buy chocolate frosting in Spain. Is there a recipe how to make it at home?

Chrysolite,
I have just melted milk chocolate bars
( nestle plain milk chocolate taste the best)
over a double boiler before and it worked.
You just have to move a bit
faster when glazing them.

so the revisted Julia Child's is here guys!
I mean lemme suggest u to bring out a cookbook of urs coz the way u put up ur recipies is way toooo good and easily understandable and the follower can easily get done with even the difficult ones as well!
Cook book is not only about new recipes and taste, ppl prefer easy understandable and accessible over diversity of taste and flavor!
so now u have another job to do as well to compile all ur recipes!!!!!!
best of luck, i want to see it!!!!
grrreattt work! keep it up!
lucky dan and kids!
