Click on the small arrow to display a menu which includes a variety of Windows 7 Explorer display options to change the size of the icons, and other options such as list, details, tiles etc. To change drag the slider bar up or down.

On the left side of Windows 7 Explorer toolbar there is the organize option. This also includes further notable customization options. For example, from here you can select the layout option to change the layout of Windows 7 Explorer. Here you can select to add or remove the menu bar, details pane, navigation pane and preview pane.

Another option worth noting here is that of the folder option. Select the folder option by selecting tools & change folder, and you can then change a number of folder options from the view tab. Just check or uncheck the checkbox options. In addition to this, you can also customize search and general folder options for browsing folders etc.

In Windows 7 Explorer there are also a number of options for sorting folders and files. To sort folders and files select view from the menu bar. Then select the sort by option. Here you can select to sort folders and files by name, type, date or size.

To customize a specific folder or file in Windows 7 Explorer you should first select the folder or file that is to be customized; then right-click the folder or file and select properties. From the properties window you should then select the customize tab. This tab includes a few further folder or file customization options. Here there are options to change folder icons, and also change the folder pictures if they are picture folders. With the change folder icon option you can select from a variety of alternative folder icons for the folder.

So, there are a few ways that you can customize Windows 7 Explorer with the various customization options outlined above. With such options you can customize folders, Windows 7 Explorer layout, change folder icons and folder icon sizes.
