Having plants in the room not only brings in diversity in the color scheme of our living space, but also represents a healthy lifestyle. My article tells about the tips in house plants decoration.

Choose Plants for your Room

House plant decoration is definite something we can use to improve our life quality. Notwithstanding the stagnant winter weather and limited room space, I decided to invite some plants under our roof the other day, for the worsening air pollution spreading in my mother nation seems to become a too frequent visiting guest lately. Before taking actions, I did a quick research, a lesson learned from my previous experience with ukulele. Now here I am, to share some tips when it comes to picking plants for your house.

To start off, you need to know the purpose of your house plant decoration. Take my case for instance. I was looking for some plants that both produce comparatively more oxygen and eliminate smell, for we can’t ventilate the room often while smog is blanketing the city. So, I eventually chose a pedestal comosum and several bamboos, since they fit our need the best. If not bothered by often hazed weather and only desired to please the eye, you may consider some flowering plants with various colors.

As the other key in choosing plant indoor, considering the position of the room and plant is also vital. Some plants are happier away from bright sun light while others are living in the opposite nature law. So, for the north-facing room, you may want to put in plants, like aspidistra, ivy, and cyclamen, enjoyed shady side more. For a south-facing space, you can arrange some busy lizzie, amaryllis cacti, or geraniums, loved to have sunbath.

Of course, having well growing plants in the room also means a necessary basic study on the specimen. Knowing when to water and to change dirt as well as the room temperature required is important too. Hopeful my information is useful for you in case needed, and please feel free to add more reminders if I have missed them out. Wish happy growing plants in your room!
