Tomato Sauce for Italian Pasta (basic sauce)

Italy is known all over the world for pasta and the way to flavour it. Follow my page and you will cook like a real Italian chef

Tomato Sauce (Basic Sauce)

Ingredients:
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 small onion, chopped
2 cloves basil, chopped
1 can tomato juice
water
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat.
Saute onions until lightly browned.
Add tomato juice and few water.
Season withsalt and pepper; bring to a boil.
Reduce heat, and simmer 50 minutes, or until thickened.
ads fresh cloves basilic (cut with your fingers)
In the meantime cook pasta in the right way as I shown in this page.

I am sorry. I thought Habibi in Arabic meant "sweetheart" or can it be interchanged?
