Ask a bride about the most important thing in her wedding, and without any delay you will hear her squealing, "wedding dress!" Unfortunately the groom comes at number two.

Indian bride's wedding dress

Indian brides wear the traditional lehenga on their wedding day.It is a three piece attire. The blouse, flowy skirt and the dupatta. The borders of blouse and skirt are heavily embroidered. There are intricate designs on the Skirt. The dupatta is usually used to cover the head but can also be kept on the side of the shoulder and wrapped around the waist. The preferred colours are mainly red and maroon.Depending on the type of fabric used, embroidery and designer, it may cost from next to nothing to almost a fortune. Some prefer to wear a saree on their wedding day. This is the traditional dress of Indian women, worn everyday.

Chinese bride's wedding dress

The one piece dress called as qipao, is the traditional wedding dress of Chinese brides. The dress has evolved over the periods, to suit the taste of younger generation. The fabric most commonly used is silk. The dress is embroidered intricately with silver or gold threads. In modern times, it is not unusual for a Chinese bride to wear 2-3 dresses on her wedding day, at short intervals. The current generation prefers the modern white gowns more over the traditional one.So, the brides use both the traditional qipao and gown on her wedding day.

Korean bride's wedding dress

The traditional wedding dress in Korea is called as hanbok. It consists of a jeogori, the blouse and chima, the wrap around long skirt.Besides these two, there are many accessories along with the dress. The hanbook looks very beautiful with all the bright colours. But mostly it is of red colour or multiple colours on Red background.Due to influence of the western world in the past few decades, the traditional wedding dresses have conveniently been replaced by the more fashionable wedding gowns. As for a few of them, they wear a gown for the wedding and then for a short traditional ceremony afterwards, they flaunt the hanbok.

Vietnamese bride's traditional wedding dress

Vietnamese women wear the traditional Ao dai dress on their wedding day.It is a two piece dress with one tight fitting top of long length, and lose pants. The dress is mainly made up of silk. The top has two slits on both sides. It may have intricate designs or prints on it.It is also worn day to day but with more simple designs and little variations to suit the comfort.

Sounds like someone who I know who wanted a wedding dress and not the groom. Married a poor boy and then bit his head off when he tried to touch her after the wedding and filed for divorce within a week.
She got the wedding dress alright but not the husband..... BTW, Indian too....
