Creation of an ideology of a person is the function of the person's intellect while his/her wisdom leads him/her toward successes at any cost and irrespective of the person's ideology. Therefore, as far as ideology is concerned, intellect and wisdom of most of the persons are at conflict with each other.

Ideology of a Person

The word 'ideology' is a derivative of word 'idea', which means an outcome of thought process on a particular issue. Thus, idea is a theoretical solution of some problem which may or may not be practicable under a given set of circumstances. For the same reason, ideology of a person represents his/her will to stick to certain norms of life, but in practice, he/she may deviate from the ideology for circumstantial compulsions or for weakness of the person for having some gains keeping his/her ideology at bay. In-spite of such deviations, each person has his/her ideology with most of them deviating from their respective ideologies.
Creation of an ideology of a person is the function of the person's intellect while his/her wisdom leads him/her toward successes at any cost and irrespective of the person's ideology. Therefore, as far as ideology is concerned, intellect and wisdom of most of the persons are at conflict with each other.

Mind and Brain

Before differentiating intellect and wisdom, we need to understand difference between mind and brain of a person. Mind of a person is not a compact unit but distributed all over the body with a part in each functional system such as digestive, blood circulation, breathing, procreation, etc. to monitor and regulate system's functioning. All these parts of the mind are connected to brain through a widespread nervous system. The mind thus represents pleasures, pains, desires, etc. of the body and transmits them to brain residing in the skull of the person. The mind works at three levels - subconscious, conscious and super-conscious.

The brain of the person has four functional units - memory, action centers, sensory receptors and the logical unit for analysis and thinking. Technically, the logical unit controls all the functions including the conscious level of the mind. But many a times and in many persons, it remains dormant and its dependent systems become independent.

Intellect and its Functionality

Intellect of a person is the function of brain's logical unit based on the information content in his/her memory. It has no relationship with the real life situation or practicability of the person. Thus, intellect of the person creates an ideological model of things, even though these ideologies may never be implemented. The ideology of the person created by his/her intellect is like perfection never achievable yet remains the target of the person for ever to perform better than before. In short, we can say intellect of the person is creator of his/her ideology as a guiding principle for his/her life.
Since, logical unit of the brain works as intellect of the person, and the former remaining dormant in many persons as aforesaid, such persons remain devoid of intellect. Since, intellect creates ideology of the person, those with dormant logical unit of the brain and devoid of intellect have no ideology for themselves to follow. Hence, such persons go on living and working at sub-human level.

Wisdom and Its Functionality

Wisdom is finding a practicable solution to real life problems faced by the person. It may not be a perfect solution but is the best under the prevailing circumstances and limitations and also the person's bodily desires and aspirations. Its functionality originates from mind of the person that knows reality of his/her bodily desires and aspirations and prevailing circumstances and limitations. These factual information are fed to the intellect of the person to decide and direct the body for further actions. Thus, the demands put forth by the mind are moderated to be in line with the ideology of the person. The final actions of the person display his/her wisdom. Persons with dormant logical unit and hence devoid of intellect thus have no wisdom, and their bodily demands and aspirations go unfiltered for actions by the body.
