How Wikinut could make you a better writer, it takes a long time to become a good writer this will show how wikinut can help

So how can it help

Wikinut is a writing site that pays you for your work, but that is no different from any other writing site you might say? Well yes that’s true but the big difference is that the way Wikinut is structured actually HELPS writers to write better, and that’s not a bad thing, so how does it do that? The writer is encouraged to improve his or her style through various mediums.

Wikinut awards writers by the quality and quantity of their writing with nut-points, the more a writer writes, the more nut-points he gets,
The writer is also awarded points for introducing various features in their piece, but these points are not seen by the writer, only by the moderator (Yes Wikinut does have human moderators, I know because I am one)

This is important, it’s the first thing a reader will see, so the better the title, the more readers you get, and the more points you will be awarded.
The introduction or page summary
This draws the reader wanting to know more about your article, again the better the introduction the more points.
Again links are good for increased readers you can have both internal and external links
Pictures can make a dull piece come alive

This feature of Wikinut is very good; sections make this piece more readable it also allows the writer to add more pictures if they want.
There are basic formatting tools that are easily accessible, such as BOLD, ITALICS, LINK, ATACH IMAGE, Wikinut also has more formatting tools which the writer is encourage to read about, on how to use, such as LIST, and NUMBERED LIST, the ability to insert a YOUTUBE video,

it goes to say, the more the writer makes use of these features the more points they will get.
Points are also awarded for Grammar and spelling

Tags are keyword assigned to your piece making your masterpiece easier to find.
You may ask, if the writer can’t see these points why bother? Well another great feature of Wikinut is “Star Pages”; a star is awarded to good well written pages and also pages that follow Wikinut’s guide-lines e.g making full use of all the available features, this in turns makes better writers.

Wikinut allows writers to re-publish work they have written for other sites this great feature give the writer more earning possibilities

Wikinut payments are made monthly into a paypal account , Wikinut also pay all transaction charges, so you can be rest assured that you'll receive 100% of any royalties owed. Payments are made on a monthly basis, on or before the 10th of the month. Payments will be made to any Wikinut user whose balance at the end of the penultimate month was £5.00 or greater
. So for example:
1. A user joins in January and writes some pages.
2. They generate £12.50 of royalties by the end of January.
3. They will not receive a February payment as their balance at the end of December (the February cut-off point) was zero.
4. They generate another £20.00 of royalties throughout February.
5. They will receive a March payment of £12.50 (their balance at the March cutoff point).
6. The remaining £20.00 balance is then carried over into the April payment period .

Utopian, but it didn't work out that way, Johnny. Did I say Utopian? I hope that's the correct word. The perspective of the chief nut is only in his own mind.:-)

These are great comments that every Wikinut writer should be taking note of. Sadly the ones who really need to take note are the ones who will not even read this article.

I like Wikinut, too for the most part here people are a friendly, supportive, community.

I think the biggest issue new writers have with Wikinut is the low payments - but hey, there are some sites that do not pay at all!

Many people just have something to say and want a platform to say it, they are not as concerned with an income.

Writers should always take note of the constructive criticism when offered from the Moderators or other users too as a way to improve.

This is so very true Mark, if only writers would take note of the comments we leave.
I don't think anyone is going to make a lot of money on ANY site, I have published 24 articles on Triond this month and so far my payment stands at 14c its a good job I write because I love to write.

Thank you for this enlightening page, Johnnydod. However, I remain a short-changed member on Wikinut because I have:
4,182 nut points and my little nutman has only 4 steps to go.
Have 111 followers.
I have 20 stars, as far as I can see. (The page continues
on and I think there might be more).
I have earned 38c.
However, I must like working on Wikinut because 38c will not even buy me a Beef Jerky.

if you click, from "YOUR MENU"
your account
and then click on
"See all of your pages"
Then select from the drop down menu where it says Draft & Rejected,
you will see all of your pages and how many of them are star pages

Its a great launchpad site and a very good place to gain popularity. Personally, I loved this side of Wikinut and the less said the better about the rest of it.

A very useful share, thanks Johnny. An aspiring writer can benefit through presence here and later through hard work, can graduate to better earnings. I like the camaraderie as there are many to encourage others' efforts provided we do too! siva

I like the residual income. Continue to earn with the existing articles that we have published in wikinut.

Johnny great piece and yes nice to have money but the community is what makes me tick. After a recent stay in Hospital I was amazed to find so many messages in my inbox just asking how I was.
Best Wishes

all I can say
a few cents are meaningless... any way
only achievement is that one can see his/her work in print ...
moderators are the final link a few cents are like tuppence ...
so compose and forget all hence
as you are the servants of the sites men

I scribbled some pages when I was a child. Wrote some short stories in college. That was it. 3 decades later, Wikinut encouraged me to scribble again. I hope to become a writer some day. Thanks for the encouragement and for the platform, Johnny. You were my first moderator and I will always cherish your comments and help.
